A webinar with Milica Momčilović, President, World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ) and Tim Lougheed, Executive Director, WFSJ
In this webinar, we will be hosting Milica Momčilović and Tim Lougheed, President and Executive Director (respectively) at the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ). The interactive session will shed light on how COVID-19 has shaped the future of science journalism.
We will also talk about fellowships, other WFSJ opportunities for journalists and how WFSJ can be of help to journalists during and after COVID-19.
Momčilović has been a science journalist since 2006. She currently works as a TV anchor for a science and education program on Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) and as a science correspondent at POLITIKA, the oldest daily newspaper in Serbia and the Balkans. She is a board member of the Balkan Network of Science Journalists, a regional network of professionals from Balkan countries. In addition, Momčilović is the founder and a board member of SFERA, a non-governmental organization devoted to the public promotion of science.
Lougheed has been a full-time freelance writer and editor since 1991. He has written hundreds of articles for specialized and general publications in Canada as well as internationally. He also edited Canadian Chemical News, a magazine published by the Chemical Institute of Canada.
Lougheed also is the past president of the Science Writers and Communicators of Canada, a national organization with more than 500 members across the country.
