Born and raised in Bayamo, Cuba, Zoe Lorena moved to Santiago de Cuba to attend college there. She started singing at the age of six. A self-taught vocalist, Zoe has won several singing competitions. Fluent in English since the age of 16, Zoe enjoys singing in multiple languages including in her native Spanish tongue.
Her awards include winning the title of “Golden Voice of the University of Oriente” with the theme Serenade Telefónica by David Torrens. In the English song contest held at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba, Zoe won first place with the song “Fly Me to the Moon,” popularized by Frank Sinatra.
In 2019, she graduated from the University del Oriente in Santiago de Cuba with a degree in social communications. While in college, Zoe began performing as a vocalist in the musical genres of jazz, bossa-nova and rock-n-roll. In 2018, while in her last year of college, she co-founded and composed songs for the alternative band ClepXa with guitarist Enrique Muños Vives. The venues in which ClepXa has performed include El Ingenio, Teatro Heredia, Estudio Teatral Macubá, Festival de Trova Pepe Sánchez, Feria Internacional del Libro, Festival del Caribe, Jazz Namá, all in Santiago de Cuba.
A resident of Santiago de Cuba, Zoe is currently in Egypt, performing and recording as a vocalist.
