On my recent trip driving from England to Slovakia (for my wedding) I had the pleasure of driving on the E36 motorway.
The German side is as you would expect of any well maintained motorway, but as you cross the border into Poland...Jesus!
I have to say it is the worse section of road I have ever driven on.
I have the misfortune of being the owner of a Renault Laguna II Sports Tourer and this road nearly killed my car!
The only choice I had was to floor the car at top speed in a vein attempt to smooth out the ride.
I noticed other trying the same idea and "running the gauntlet".
However some cars failed the endurance test and were abandoned at the side of the road.
After approximately 30 kilometres or so the road does turn into a well maintained road with excellent services and facilities :-)
P.S. The car almost survived the ordeal intact, but did make some worrying noises navigating the road and now the steering vibrates :-(
