The Brecks Fen edge and river valleys are one of the richest areas for archaeology in the UK. Many important finds have been made along the skirts of the Fenland and in the Wissey, Lark and Little Ouse valleys.
This presentation provides a brief overview of the landscape history of the area. It explains the different kinds of archaeological assets and their vulnerabilities, and offers advice about how to manage this finite resource for future generations.
This presentation was created for the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme (BFER) by Tim Holt-Wilson, David Robertson and Edward Martin, and read by Neil Jarvis. This was made possible with thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
