"We at CONMEBOL started a deep reform. The truth is that we found a CONMEBOL that organisationally I would say was of the 19th century. We need to restructure it and make it a CONMEBOL for the 21st century with everything that it entails, internally within the organisation, so that the organisation bares fruit for South American football, of course creating a fund and a financial economic base that helps associations, and through associations help clubs, and through the clubs help the players."

STORYLINE:
FIFA's new president Gianni Infantino participated in a friendly football match on Thursday with Bolivian President Evo Morales during his South American tour.
The 60-minute match between "Friends of Gianni" and the presidential team was held in Cochabamba's Aurora Stadium.
About 1,000 spectators gathered to watch the friendly match, according to Fifa.com.
Infantino arrived to Bolivia on Wednesday to meet with heads of the Bolivian Football Federation and others.
On Thursday, he is expected to leave for Colombia as part of his first South America tour.
