Ingredients
For the sweet pastry

Plain flour - 165 grams/5¾ oz
Ground almonds - 25 grams/1 oz
Butter - 120 grams/4¼ oz
Caster sugar - 55 grams/2 oz
Egg - 1
For the custard filling
----------------------
Milk - 700 ml/1¼ pint
Egg Yolk - 7
Caster sugar - 90 grams/3¼ oz
Freshly ground nutmeg
