UNHCR is making additional refugee provisions with the imminent
fall of another UN-designated "safe" haven, Zepa. Fifty convoys
carrying food, blankets and tents set off on Monday (17/7) for
Tuzla, from Metkovic, the largest supply base in Croatia. UNHCR
spokesman Enda Savage said they are expecting about 15,000
refugees to leave Zepa when it eventually falls to the Bosnian
Serbs. Tuzla is already in dire need of aid with its camps
brimming with refugees. Savage says more aid will be needed if the
situation further deteriorates.
