This charity saves lives by providing out-of-hours transport of urgently needed blood, drugs, human tissues and other medical requirements between hospitals and blood transfusion banks in the north west of England. In August last year, the project received a grant of £9,600 from the Big Lottery Fund to buy a new motorbike for its work in Chorley, Preston, Ormskirk and Southport.
