Seventy-two UNPOL Peacekeepers from the UN Mission in the Central African Republic arrived in Juba today. The officers are part of a group of five thousand five-hundred additional Peacekeepers and UN Police Advisers that was asked for by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Monday 23 December 2013 and approved unanimously by the Security Council on Tuesday 24 December 2013.
The Bangladesh Police Officers who are trained in crowd management and security will be deployed immediately to help with the growing numbers of IDP's that now exists in UN Compounds throughout South Sudan.
