The Place module helps you to think about developing the right collaborations, identifying the right expertise and choosing and engaging with mentors and supervisors who can support you on your journey.
Building a team of support in this way is so valuable but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start – that’s where the Place module comes in.
Kate Hallsworth is a senior research physiotherapist in Newcastle’s Liver Unit and is an Associate Lecturer in the Translational and Clinical Research Institute at Newcastle University. She helps to lead the Place module on the 4Ps Researcher Development Programme and talks about how important it is to be connected to the right support networks making valuable links with people and organisations.
We look at the different roles within the research team, to help us identify who we may need to involve when developing our own research idea and consider the opportunities and support available locally to support clinical researchers at different stages of their careers.
