Western democracy is facing an unprecedented crisis. While the world celebrates the ideals of freedom, human rights, and self-determination, these very principles are increasingly under threat in the West. From the erosion of free speech and media independence to the lack of global democratic decision-making, Western democracies are failing to live up to their own standards.

Professor Jan Oberg, Director of the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research, TFF, in Lund, Sweden explores how Western democracy is faltering, why we must rethink global governance, and the urgent need for reform to ensure a more democratic and peaceful future for all.
