Ingredients
Curd 7 tbsp
Rice 1/2 cup
Oil 2tbsp
Milk 1/4 cup plus
Mustard seeds1/2tsp
Urad dal1/4tsp
Green Chilli 3
Ginger 1 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida Powder 1/4 tsp plus
Salt
Dry Red Chilli 2
Curryleaves
Coriander leaves opt
Method
Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes
Cook for 2 whistle in medium flame by adding 2 glass of water ..
Mash the rice well and add milk
Then add curd and salt
Then heat sesame oil splutter mustard seeds ,urad dal ,dry red chilli and curryleaves .Add green chilli and ginger ,saute for few seconds .
Sprinkle some asafoetida powder too..
Add this to the cooled rice
..mix well ..
So the tasty Curd rice is Ready to serve
with pickle or koottu ..
Serves for 4
Note :
U can add roasted cashew nuts also ..
I used to add Anar too (pomegranate )
