Our journey in Sabah, Malaysia continues. From Kota Kinabalu Airport, we flew to Tawau in southern Malaysian Borneo. From Tawau, we took an hour private shuttle to the city of Semporna, the gateway to the underwater world of Sabah Diving.
But before we explore this underwater world, we stayed in Semporna. One of the most popular things to do in Semporna is to explore the Bukit Tengkorak, or Skull Hill of Semporna.
Bukit Tengkorak Sabah is an ancient burial ground from the Neolithic Period, some 3,000 years ago. Here, archeologists have been working on excavating some of the earliest human bones and skulls, hence the name of Skull Hill Semporna.
