Agustín Sandoval of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán is a versatile trumpet player who has played throughout many genres of music and is the author of the Mariachi Trumpet Method book series.
Kicking off with a quick demonstration of the son jaliscience "Camino Real de Colima," part one of Agustín's 3 part trumpet tutorial series focuses on the articulation needed to interpret sones and rancheras. Learn how to use breathing techniques, scales and basic classical trumpet techniques to adapt to the different styles needed for the different genres of mariachi.
