I built this over the last 6 months, having collected many of the parts since 2014. The valve in this amplifier is a new old stock Soviet era triode - the GS-35b. It's capable of putting out 1.5kW or more, but I use it within the UK legal limit of 400W PEP.
In this video, I'm using on a digital mode called FT8, on 28.074MHz USB. With 17W in, the amplifier gives me about 325W out in Class C (for data modes).
I'm using it with a simple vertical antenna.
