The sounding of the Last Post has become an inclusive symbol of mourning retaining the power to arrest the soul of our nation.

As trumpeters of the Air Force take their post this Anzac Day, from Papua New Guinea, to France, to Jordan, it is their privilege to navigate the sounds and silences of this sacred call, and through the evocation of both memory and meaning, imprint on hearts and minds of the nation the cost of freedoms won and debts owed.

This Anzac Day Air Force Band Trumpet section leader CPL Jason Reeve will be in Villers-Bretonneux with the ADF contingent for the Dawn Service.

Here, Air Force Band offers his performance of The Last Post and Reveille recorded at The Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.
