In Nepal, Tibetan Lhamo Association of Kathmandu, Nepal has been performing a number of operas over the years. In 2004, this association decided to create a new opera, most aptly, based on the life story of the Great Thangtong Gyalpo, who was the founder of Tibetan Opera.
This film profiles their experience – practicing and finally performing in the Shoton Opera Festival in Dharamsala, India.
