In a significant victory for security forces, 31 Naxalites were killed in the Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh. The operation, described as the largest anti-Maoist operation in the country, was conducted by a district reserve guard in the special task force. Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai about the encounter, which has been hailed as a major success in the fight against Maoist insurgency.
