When using the CLAMP BASE, aligning the thickness of the BLADE GUIDE base plate (9mm) with the thickness of the CLAMP BASE (30mm) will further improve cutting accuracy.
Previously, I made the BLADE GUIDE with plywood, but it burnt and wore out. This time, by making it with hard wood and applying oil, the burning and wear were eliminated.
I use this Makita jigsaw with the soft no-load feature disabled. Also, the screw that fixes the tilt of the base plate is weak and can break if too much force is applied.
The hold-down clamp I used this time can slip if not securely fastened. If you can find one with a rubberized tip, I recommend using that instead.
