Belinda Marks is Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Manorlands Hospice in Yorkshire. She has over 40 years experience in palliative, end-of-life and nursing care. Belinda has a huge amount of experience in both hospital, hospice and community care and will therefore consider all these environments.
In this webinar we consider the principles of excellent end of life support – for the person who is dying and their family and friends. Belinda will share the structures and processes to support this care and what this looks and feels like in practice.
We will consider what matters in the weeks an months before someone dies and also the hours and days after death. How someone is physically cared for and the emotional and pastoral care throughout this time will be discussed.
This webinar is relevant to healthcare professionals who work in community care, hospices and hospital services. It is also relevant to allied funeral and bereavement or health and social care professionals, particularly those working in residential or nursing homes or delivering home care and care after death.
