Hello friends, welcome back to another day of slow living here in the beautiful Portuguese countryside! Today's video is packed with some of my favourite things-starting with a fun trip to the local flea market where we go treasure hunting for unique finds. I love the charm and character of these markets, and I can't wait to show you what I picked up!
Once we return from our market adventure, it's time to head back to the kitchen and do a little baking. Today, I'm whipping up something special: a delicious cake made with apples I picked fresh from our trees. There's something so satisfying about baking with ingredients grown here on the homestead. The smell of warm, spiced apples filling the house is pure autumn bliss!
We'll also spend some time in the garden, tending to the plants and preparing for the upcoming season. Gardening is such a grounding activity, and I love how each day offers something new. From watering hydrangeas to planning our next garden project, the joy of nurturing our own space is endless. Even in the cooler months, there's always something to do, whether it's planning new plantings or simply enjoying the beauty of nature as it shifts from summer to fall.
One of the things I love most about living on the Silver Coast of Portugal is the slower pace of life and the chance to really connect with the land. Every day is a new opportunity to appreciate the little things-whether it's wandering through the farmer's market, harvesting from our own garden, or just taking a quiet moment to enjoy the peaceful countryside. Life here is all about savouring the present, and I hope that through these videos, you can feel a bit of that too.
If you're new here, welcome! And to all my returning friends, thank you so much for continuing to follow along on this journey. Your support means the world to me, and I love hearing from you in the comments-let me know what you enjoyed most today, and if you have any questions or suggestions for future videos!
