(14 Jan 2015) Pro-Russian rebels held military exercises in the eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk on Wednesday.
Pro-Russian rebel captain, Alexander Sedoi, said he trains three teams of rebels at a time and there are "plenty of fighters".
There have been indications of mounting tensions in recent days in Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Separatists and the Ukrainian army have accused each other of mounting dozens of rocket attacks ahead of possible peace talks.
The intensification in hostilities comes one month after a renewed truce led to a marked lull in the fighting that originally broke out in the spring.
