I have been thinking of doing this project during the summer. By September I had 'talked' myself into it. I knew it would be a big undertaking -and not one I could manage to post in one go.
I spend the week prior to starting planing how the house should be structured. The day I started cutting the main parts was when I saw that Tim Holtz was planing a live called 'village collection'. I figured that more new parts were coming, and that was kind of perfect, maybe there would be something I could use for mt Christmas version, or maybe for spring.
I did not expect that he would come out with everything in dies! Making it far easier to customize the houses. Now I need that die set pretty bad. Unfortunately it will not work for the old houses, they scaled the houses down a bit.
This is a massive project I have over 2 hours footage for this one video - and I did not film the process of cutting all the base pieces - it was not very camera friendly. This is why I have made no promise of subtitles. I hope to get them done soon-ish, but I will not promise anything at this point.
