Introducing Payge Hollis
Payge works at an organisation that supports people with disability called Parent 2 Parent (P2P). She works as an administration officer and also works on some P2P projects. Additionally, she works on the PCEP project as a co-facilitator, presenting to health care professionals about her health journey in QLD. She identifies as a person with intellectual disability.
P2P and Our PHN have partnered in the Primary Care Enhancement Program (PCEP) project.
The PHN and PCEP Project has been a learning experience for Payge. She states that the staff have been wonderful and very supportive in providing her guidance in her role. She believes she has learnt how to be a good public speaker, how to write her story, and how to work in a team with people she doesn’t not know.
In particular, Payge notes, “I have gained knowledge, skills, confidence, friendships and workplace satisfaction since being on the PCEP project. I want people with disabilities to be included and accepted for who we are in all social and work environments, and the PCEP project is working towards this goal in health.”
Please join us in welcoming Payge as a valued member of the PCEP team.
