Five first-year medical students tragically lost their lives after their car collided head-on with a state transport bus in Kerala's Alappuzha district. The accident occurred at 10 PM in Kalarcode during heavy rain, leaving the car mangled. Rescue teams had to cut through metal to retrieve the bodies. The bus passengers suffered only minor injuries.
