A driver captured the incident on his dashboard camera as he travelled towards Berkhamsted on the A41 near Bourne End on Monday morning. The footage shows a red car pull in front of his car and "slam on his brakes". The driver said about the incident, "It is the fact that that you don't even have to be dramatic to consider he could have killed us. At 70mph with 50m distance that gives you about 1.5s to process everything and then perform an evasive manoeuvre. I only needed to look at my son and ask if he was OK and we would have hit him at 60-70mph with no braking and we are all dead.. possibly including him."

Hertfordshire Police said it is investigating the incident.
