Belgrade plunged into darkness at dusk on Thursday, when NATO airstrikes took out a power station in the western part of the city.
Early on Friday, residents reported more airstrikes in Belgrade and its surroundings, including the Batajnica military airport, the Strazevica hill where an underground military complex is believed to be located.
For the first time, the site of Yugoslavia's only nuclear reactor, Vinca, is also reported to
have been hit.
Belgrade again struggled with power failures and a blackout on Thursday evening as NATO bombs heavily damaged a power station.
The power station in the western part of the city supplies power to one of the biggest hospital complexes in Belgrade.
The general manager of Dragisa Misovic hospital, Dr. Radisav Scepanovic, said that hospital staff was trying to maintain patients as well as possible.
An air attack had already seriously damaged Dragisa Misovic hospital seven days ago.

"Half of hospital was closed because of heavy damage. Two buildings were totally destroyed to ground (in NATO attack seven days ago. In these buildings which remain we try to maintain our patients as well as we can but as you can see almost the whole day we are out of electricity and this is a big problem for us. Nobody could plan that we should have some kind of generator that can work 24 hours a day."

The doctor said that the hospital lost electricity for an entire day, and they had not expected to need a generator to last 24 hours.
A man who lives near the power station lost his arm after the NATO attack on the power grid.
Doctors in another nearby clinical centre, Zvezdara, did their best to help him.
