6 BMS boards are being wired into this lithium battery to increase safety! I don't want any fires with this used battery. The BMS boards will monitor every single cell (all 84 of them). If anything goes wrong they can cut the battery off.
This battery has come a long way in the refurbishment. Now I'm in the home-stretch. Pretty soon I can do a capacity test and see how I made out.
I'm also adding circuit breakers with their own bus bars. These will allow me to isolate the 6 batteries from each other as well as provide over-current protection.
This lithium battery came out of a 2013 Smart Fortwo EV (electric vehicle). It will be used in my DIY Powerwall for back-up power if the grid goes down. Off-Grid.
