Today we visiting the city of Arta, region of Epirus, Greece. Our virtual aerial tour departs Arachthos Airport surrounded by the villages of Kalomodia, Agias Paraskevi, Anthotopos, Kalogeriko and Aneza. We takeoff and head north climbing over Gavria, Kostakioi, the ancient Bridge of Arta, the Arachthos River and Arta city. We continue north and pass Grammenitsa and Peta either side of the Arta Dam wall and the Panagia Vlacherna church with Koimisis tis Theotokou Monastery on the other side of the river. We then go north into the wilderness alongside Techniti Limni Pournariou reservoir following Arachthos Potamos some distance before turning east and flying over the mountains of Anatolika Tzoumerka Athamanika. We turn to cross the forest and mountain villages including Plaka with it's historic bridge and then head south over Xirovouni, Faneromeni, Filippiada, Kalamia and Chalkiades.
