VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Join Brad and Dona on an inspiring journey as they take you inside their 1985 Crown Super Coach turned tiny home on wheels. After 40 years of homeownership and raising a family, Brad and Dona decided to downsize and embrace the tiny home lifestyle. In this video, they share their bus conversion experience, from a 14-inch roof raise to creating a modern, minimalist living space perfect for entertaining, cooking, and hitting the road.
A Spacious Tiny Home Kitchen for Entertaining: The kitchen in their converted bus is the largest Brad and Dona have ever had. With quartz countertops, a large sink, and plenty of counter and drawer space, the kitchen is designed for hosting family and friends. The custom-built shelves and counter-depth fridge with an ice maker add functionality and style. Cooking with their induction stove and convection oven has been a game-changer for efficiency, and the open shelving concept gives easy access to all their essentials while keeping the space feeling light and open.
Comfortable Living Space Designed for Gatherings: Brad and Dona wanted a living space that could accommodate large groups for gatherings. Their custom-built table folds out to seat multiple guests, and the couch easily converts into a full-size bed with extra storage underneath. The natural light from the large windows, combined with the rustic-modern design featuring black, gray, and wood tones, creates a cozy yet stylish atmosphere.
Smart Storage & Functional Design: One of the highlights of their tiny home is the abundant storage, from pullout pantry shelves to toe-kick drawers in the kitchen. The bathroom features a unique black walnut vanity with a resin-poured top, a carved granite sink, and a simulated wood porcelain tile shower. With 110 gallons of fresh water storage and a Nature’s Head composting toilet, Brad and Dona have designed their bathroom to be efficient for off-grid living.
Master Bedroom with a View: In the rear of the bus, the master suite is cozy and functional, featuring a queen-size short mattress, plenty of closet space, and nightstands on each side of the bed. The room has a back door that opens to breathtaking views—whether it's a river or the ocean, they can let the fresh air in and enjoy the scenery. The bedroom also houses their water and heating systems, keeping everything tucked away and efficient.
Powerful Solar & Electrical System: Brad has outfitted the bus with an impressive solar setup, boasting 2,600 watts of solar power and 6, 100-amp-hour batteries, equivalent to 12 Battle Born batteries. The system powers everything from the kitchen appliances to the air conditioning, allowing them to live off-grid comfortably. The dual-zone mini-split ensures they stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Building Dreams: From Real Estate to Nomad Living: Brad and Dona share their passion for the nomadic lifestyle, encouraging others to turn their dreams into reality. After years as a general contractor, Brad now focuses on bus conversions, helping others achieve the tiny home dream. Whether you're considering a rolling tiny home or one stationary on land, Brad and Donia show that downsizing brings more freedom and happiness.
