Looking for a really out-of-the-way tropical escape? Then head to the town of Catemaco in southern Veracruz, Mexico.

This video will give you a very quick tour of the town of Catemaco which is located next to a giant peaceful lake. It is the 3rd largest in the entire country. Except for some tour boats and some small fishing boats, Lake Catemaco is just a peaceful huge lake situated in a recognized World Biosphere region.

Not far from Catemaco, you can also explore the southern gulf coast of Veracruz. Pristine beaches, gentle waves, no foreign tourists, and no internet or cell phone service makes this place a "Robinson Crusoe" kind of paradise.
