Navjot Singh Sidhu Wednesday resigned from his post of the Punjab Congress president as 'desired' by the party. The move came in response to Sonia Gandhi asking Congress' state unit chiefs of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur Tuesday to resign in order to facilitate reorganisation of the PCC.
