(31 Jul 2015) The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says at least 11 children have died in the US this year after being left in hot cars.
At a news conference Friday, NHTSA reminded parents of their slogan, " Look before you lock."
The agency also released a technical report that will be a roadmap for carmakers working to create warning systems that could remind parents if they have forgotten to take their children out of a vehicle.

Payton died of heatstroke on in 2010 in Cape Coral, Florida.
