We always apply a liberal amount of low expansion spray from under the ENTIRE shower pan before lowering them down. Some guys use thin set or mortar, but that’s a bigger mess, and more to carry in and around than a single can of spray foam, the foam also keeps the chill from the concrete off the feet when showering.
