I don't think I've ever been to a city with as many unique and offbeat museums than Zagreb, Croatia. I visited four of Zagreb's museums: the Museum of Hangovers, Museum of Illusions, Museum of Broken Relationships, and Museum of Chocolate. The museums are small so you can visit all four of them in one day if you'd like to. The Museum of Hangovers (Muzej Mamurluka) features several objects along with the drunken stories behind them. It also gives you an idea what it's like to be drunk as you wear Virtual Reality goggles which simulate drunkenness when walking around the museum, or driving a car on a simulator. The Museum of Illusions (Muzej Iluzija) features over 70 exhibits with over 40 optical illusions. My favorite rooms were the ones with mirrors: The Infinity Room, the Table of Clones, and the Anti-Gravity Room. The Museum of Broken Relationships (Muzej prekinutih veza) is dedicated to failed love relationships. Exhibits ivnclude personal objects from all over the world left over from former lovers, accompanied by their stories. Objects include wedding dresses, a parachute rig, a front door, a cell phone, a Godzilla doll, an espresso machine, an exercise bike, and much more! As you walk through the different rooms of the interactive Museum of Chocolate (Muzej Čokolade), you'll learn about the history of chocolate production, promotion, and consumption. It's a chocolate lover's dream!
