Tamil superstar turned politician, Rajinikanth, who is considered to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has rejected Home Minister Amit Shah’s pitch for a common language for the country. Rajinikanth, who launched his own political party two years ago, said none of the of the southern states will accept imposition of Hindi. He, however, said if there's a common language it's good for country's unity & progress but forcing a language isn't acceptable. Shah, while speaking on the occasion of Hindi Diwas had said Hindi, which is spoken the most, can unite India.
