The monkeys were kept chained or were in small cages in deplorable conditions at the so-called 'Happy Monkey School'. Hope things have changed since 2014.
This monkey school is located on Mae Rim – Samoeng Road, on the way to Maesa Waterfall and is about 5 kilometers off Chiang Mai - Fang Road.
