The West German Leopard 1 A1A1 and the Soviet T-62M were upgraded versions of MBTs from the 1960's. The T-62's improvements included metal-polymer blocks added to the hull and turret, increasing the tank's protection to a similar level as the T-64A / T-72 Ural. The simulation presents how the armour array would fare against DM23 APFSDS from the Leopard 1's 105mm cannon at 1000m.
DM23 was the West German produced version of Israeli M111 Hetz, which entered service at the end of the 1970s. The T-62M entered service in 1983, and while its armour had improved, it was not to the standards of the newest Soviet tanks. It should be noted that the T-62M could penetrate the Leopard 1 at any realistic combat range.
*The nose slugs of DM23 are modelled correctly but are hard to see as I forgot to change their colour*
