This video was taken to demonstrate Volkswagen Golf's Bi-Xenon Plus headlights in action. The headlight unit is powered by a xenon light that is projected onto the road via the projector lens. It takes information from steering angle and travel speed and processes it to determine what to do. At speeds of above 10 km/h, the projectors rotate side to side to illuminate bends/corners. The inner headlight rotates by up to 15° and the outer one by up to 7.5°.
Another unit helps illuminate corners when taking sharper turns at lower speeds. This halogen unit (yellow hue) can also be seen in the video as well as rotating projectors and low/high beams.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed this video.
