The Lime Industry is very popular in Sri Lankan Coast. This video Shows you how do they do it. This clip was taken when I was went on a trip to Southern province Sri Lanka. Explaining is in Sinhala Language.
Mainly they get CaCO3 using Corals and Lime Mines. Then they put them to stove and heat CaCO3. Then it turns into CaO.
CaCO3 -------------------:- CaO + CO2
Give Heat
Then they mix water with CaO. Then They use it. It is used in Construction Industry mainly. And It use to eat Betel leaves too!
