I was invited to Il Cenacolo in San Francisco to give a talk on the realities of running a small wine brand in the midst of the big and changing wine world. This was an informal talk to a general audience, but we do get into vineyard costs, the legal and practical aspects of starting a winery, some fundamental marketing and model choices, benefits and challenges of being small, changing consumption patterns and other business realities.
