Part 14 of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space is Stage 4 of the What-If scenario of the Thoroughbred story.
In this other side of the story, the Gundam Unit 4 wasn't destroyed after firing the Mega Beam Launcher, and Luce didn't die as a result. All in all, I would say this scenario is the better outcome of the two, but that's just my opinion.
