Orange Rocket Barberry is a deciduous shrub with orange red leaves that are outlined in chartreuse. The branches have small thorns which, aside from the vibrant color, makes a perfect hedge for any garden.

Although it loses its leaves in winter, the branches provide winter interest when they are covered in snow. This shrub contrasts well with the light green color of the autumn joy and autumn fire sedum through the fall and winter when snow covers their dried flowers. The gold euonymous is an evergreen and remains yellow year round.
