Generator Noise Reduction Box Heat Testing. Do generator sound boxes cause a generator to overheat? In this video I test oil temperature as well as the ambient temperature inside of three generator noise reduction boxes to sample and compare the temperature data. All three of these boxes performed well but the generator sound shed design seemed to work the best. After testing all three boxes, I collected baseline temperature data points by running the generator without any sound box.

I used a Bluetooth sensor thermometer, a Bluetooth meat thermometer and the Flir1 imaging camera to collect the data for this video. There is a lot of information that was gained from this experiment. Let me know what your thoughts are in the comments.
