(All insects I use in my jewelry were found already deceased in the wild. I never kill the specimens I use and I do not source from insect farms.)
Many people question why I like to make insect jewelry. I think insects are beautiful. Most of them have very short lives and I when I find a butterfly or a drafonfly that has passed, I try my best to give them a new life. I fix what is tattered or broken and preserve it with copper. The electroformed butterflies I make is very special! Each pendant takes a few weeks to prepare and some of them do not make it through the whole process. I enjoy the challenge, but most of all I really love seeing the final results!
