How to use Android Auto 2016 Chevrolet Cruze
[ Ссылка ]
If you’ve never used Android Auto in the past, the first thing you need to do is download the app from the Google Play Store. Once that’s done, just plug in your Android cellphone or device to the 2016 or 2017 Chevy Cruze built-in USB port, and the Android Auto app on your phone will launch automatically. You’ll also notice the icon on your Cruze’s Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen. Go through the setup process, and you’re ready to drive- connected in your new 2016 or 2017 Chevy Cruze!
Android Auto isn’t an independent system, so you’ll need to keep your phone plugged in when you drive the Cruze. It also should be mentioned that you can’t do anything with your phone when it’s plugged into the car. You’ll see an Android Auto logo, and that’s it. If you have to do something important on your cell phone or Android device, you’ll have to unplug it from the Chevy Cruze’s USB port. This feature obviously exists because you shouldn’t be messing with your phone when you’re driving.
Android Auto’s main interface is simple and the 2016 and 2017 Chevrolet Cruze does a great job with it. Just like you’d find in Google Now, your most important information is shown in a list of cards. Music, weather and navigation directions are easily seen, and the time, phone battery, internet connection and voice search icon can be found at the top-right on the Chevy MyLink touchscreen.
The bottom nav bar gives you quick access to Google Maps, the Phone app, a home button, music and listening apps, and a shortcut that takes you back to Chevy MyLink. These shortcuts are easy to see out of the corner of the eye while driving and easy to use. Android Auto is all about safer driving, staying connected, and easy to use.
We used Android Marshmallow OS with a Samsung Galaxy 7 on this new Chevy Cruze. All Android devices work similar, such as LG G4, LG G5, Note 7, Note 5, Galaxy 6 and other popular Android devices or smartphones.
