About Ngoc Chien Commune
The highest land of Muong La district has a cool climate like Dalat and famous for its hot mineral water source.
Muong La district - Ngoc Chien commune has a beautiful stretch of road for those who like to explore the tranquility and unspoiled Northwest. Located about 80 km Son La city northeast and Son La hydropower project about 40 km, Ngoc Chien is located at an altitude of over 1,800 meters above mean sea level. This is considered the highest areas of Muong La district.
The special thing on this stretch of road is the small dirt road sections along the Black Thai and Hmong villages, stretching terraced valley.
Cool climate all year round, this is the homeland and the early settlement of three ethnic group as Thai, H’mong, La Han with cultural diversity, and their hospitality
From Son La city, you take the provincial road 106 about 40 km head to the northwest of It Ong town, through the Sam Sit pass at altitude 2000 m, about 40 km long, widding inserted in clouds. You’ll see a side of immense forest, rolling hills, one side is the abyss. Continue across the bridge over the stream, visitors will reach Ngoc Chien.
