Retired NYPD Lieutenant Dr. Darrin Porcher joins “DC Today” to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001. During that time, Porcher supervised rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.
“I was an army officer prior to being a member of the NYPD,” Porcher says. “I understood the reference of running into danger that people run away from; as a member of the NYPD, this is what you sign up for.”
