We look at how to fix a noisy Salmson Jetson 1M water pump. It turns out that the motors bearings were worn out and needed to be replaced. After replacing the bearings, the pump is much less noisy when it runs. The remainder of the pump internals, impeller, seals, etc. were all still good so let's hope this repair lasts another few years.

This pump looks like it is very well designed and has grade 304 stainless steel pump housing, impeller and shaft.

Bearings - Two x NSK 6262 2RS bearings were needed - R60 each ($4 each) purchased from BMG.
