You can swim in the calm waters and relax in the grassy parklands with BBQs, picnic areas and playgrounds. We enjoyed a coffee and brownie at Mojos Cafe.
Maroochydore Beach is a popular spot for beachgoers and surfers. It is 1.6 kilometres long with golden sand and crystal-clear water. The beach is patrolled by the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club, one of Queensland's oldest surf clubs.
The Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden spans 82 hectares of eucalypt and riparian forest, featuring creeks, lagoons, and walking tracks. It is 15 kilometres from Maroochydore and offers a picturesque natural environment.
Our first walk was the Sculpture Garden Walk, a 700-metre circuit featuring interesting sculptures and manicured gardens in a lovely bushland setting.
We then wandered along the Lagoon trail; this 900-metre circuit meanders through the lovely bushland along the lagoon's banks.

Fishermans Road Markets are on every Sunday from 6.00 am to 12.00 noon on the corner of David Low Way and Fishermans Road. This is a big market with a huge variety of items, including local fruit and vegetables, homemade and second-hand goods and lots of food stalls.
